Ankh

Anyone who has ever owned a piece of gold Egyptian jewellery will know that the Ankh was the Egyptian symbol for everlasting life.

Perhaps my lady has just returned from a Nile cruise, or has been on one of those exotic Egyptian Tours.
Has she been exploring the Pyramids, or lying beside the pool in the Luxor Hotel?

Or, perhaps she`s just into a little bit of bondage in Egypt.

Hi Don!
Just liked the drama of the visual, the title, "Ankh" means/represents everlasting life.
Had good fun doing those bandages!

Although, there are a good few people who like bondage in all its forms, rope, fabric, bandage, and this image was using these ideas for
visual impact.

Glad you left a comment on this one.
The last `bound` drawing didn`t get any at all, and I had wrongly thought this one would be the same!

I like this one, like the drama of the shapes and colour.

Hi Don!

I really like the "Bounder...as opposed to Boundee" bit there......

this could seriously catch on!

As regards you `keeping perversing...`

(couldn`t resist it), yes, interpreting a drawing or painting is indeed, a bit like doing a cryptic crossword.
Certain people might dislike that analogy, but I like it.
Absolutely spot on!

Hurrary!

More art from zeppellina! I am thrilled.

I love the dramatic colors that weave through this body. It is quite intense. I picture someone in bondage of some type or another, more specifically, a personal one.

Very well done!

I really did enjoy doing those bandages!

Ah..testing..!
Good to see your blogger profile is still active, Don, but I still think it is a shame that you have closed down your blogsite.
It will be much missed.

But I still have to respond to being
"tagged" by you, so expect a response!

And yes, I`ll start working on another image soon!

Speak to you soon. Zep.

Ya know, when you said about what you like to paint, this picture was exactly what I thought of...the textural differences and all. That you're from across the water, as it is, was cool though. I had met a gal from England and really took a liking to her, though I'm sure I'm a bit "much" for most folks. I have this terribly loud laugh when things tickle me right, eh, and I sometimes don't know when to shut up, either. Occassionally it's all quite embarassing when I've discovered I've said too much. Over here they call it "too much information" and I reckon that can be true. I thought about joining on and on anon, but couldn't find the address.....
And, I think I have a sense of humor, too. As for the model actually coming to my countryside location, well. I kinda knew that wasn't gonna happen. (though I WOULD get my paints out for the event if it did!)

And the mirror thing...dang! There was a gal who has a regular site (Kallie Clark) and she does performance art and some other things that were, I thought, unique in their own way, and I e-mailed her mentioning that she had given me an idea about how I could get some practice painting nudes (the mirror)and she mailed me back and asked for an example and when I did, she never wrote back. Wow, either I did a good enough job and scared her, or she thought I was just another "kinky" dude, or maybe I ended up on her "spam" list, I don't know.
The last time I wrote I teased her by saying she wouldn't get "plein aire cooties" if she actually wrote back, but, maybe she didn't believe that.
Actually, I don't think of plein aire as being the right statement for that style, either....I call it painting in person. Whether it's a person, a flower a tree or whatever, the thing is to just finish it right then right there so you don't lose the feeling of whatever it is you're painting.
Don't get me wrong, though. It doesn't always work for me. I have a whole lot of canvases that were losers (as I call them) upstairs where I live.
Gee. Is this a case of what I was saying before? TMI
